Summary

Explore this 2.5-mile loop trail near Randolph, New Hampshire. It takes an average of 2h to complete, but calculate about 3-4 hrs dependent on conditions and time for lunch. Highlights include stunning views, especially from the south overlook. We'll use the Mount Crescent Trail, make a left to hit the South Lookout, wich is a tricky climb and demands sturdy footwear and traction (microspikes or equivalent). From the lookout we continue to the Mount Crescent Lookout, enjoy lunch and then continue the loop back to the Mount Crescent trail. The length is 2.5 miles and elevation gain 1332ft. Dress in layers.

If anyone is interested in doing breakfast before the hike at the Waterwheel (great food!) let me know.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

From the south, I-93, take exit for Twin Mountain/Gorham. Follow Rt 3. At the intersection with rt 302, continue straight through the light. At the Intersection with Rt 115, make a right. Follow to Rt 2 then make a right onto Rt 2 east towards Gorham. In about 9 miles you'll see Randolph Rd on the left. Take this road, which eventually will turn to a dirt road. The road will sharply curve to the right. Take it to the end. There will be an upper and lower parking. Park in the upper area.
