Summary

North and Middle Sugarloaf are two small mountains located just outside Twin Mountain, NH that provide outstanding views of the Twin, Rosebrook, and Presidential Mountain Range. It takes about 2.5 hrs. to complete but could take more like 3hrs depending on weather conditions, plus time to eat lunch at the Middle Sugarloaf summit. Elevation gain 1059ft. There are some steep sections which are manageable but bring steady footwear and good traction such as micro spikes. Dress in layers. Fairly easy but you still get a workout. In my opinion the Middle Sugarloaf summit has the best views, but if you guys prefer, we can do lunch at the North Sugarloaf summit, which will be our first destination. Both summits are gorgeous.

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

If coming from the South, take I-93 to the Twin Mountain/Gorham exit. When you hit the intersection with Rt 302, make a right. Shortly after you'll see the entrance for  Zealand Rd/campground. Likely the gate will be closed, but there's a parking lot ahead on the left of 302. You'll have to walk up Zealand road to the trailhead which is right after the bridge.
