Summary

Highlights include beautiful views, waterfalls along the trail, and a well-marked path. Challenges are steep climbs and icy conditions requiring traction devices. Bringing extra layers, and sturdy footwear. Elevation gain 3031ft, length about 5.6 miles. Duration of hike will depend on trail conditions. Suggesting to bring lunch and snacks to keep up that manly energy!

Directions To Trailhead Parking Lot

Driving north on I-93 entering the Franconia Notch Parkway, note your mileage as you pass Exit 34A. Continue on the parkway for about 4 miles to an exit with signs for Trailhead Parking. If you are driving south on the Parkway, take the exit for the Lafayette Place Campground and Trailhead Parking, about 2 miles south of Exit 34B for the Cannon Mountain Tramway. A pedestrian underpass connects parking on either side of the parkway.

Hi guys. We just got back from the trail. I sent out an E-mail to all of you. Let me know if you didn't get it.

Bobcat Posted Mar 7, 2025 at 4:05 PM

Yes: we will meet at the BridlePath/Falling Waters trailhead. See directions to Trailhead Parking Lot in trip description.

rlricchi Posted Mar 7, 2025 at 3:18 PM

Just want to be clear, we park for and will hike Falling Waters trail correct? See you tomorrow.

For sunday's hike https://www.gayoutdoors.org/page.cfm?typeofsite=events-detail&id=5996

Twigs Posted Mar 7, 2025 at 11:22 AM

Mjordan94.... Lafayette Campground Road, Lincoln ,nh Tho your best bet is to crash at Bob's tonight that way your not rushing against traffic or the time to make the hike

Mjordan94 Posted Mar 7, 2025 at 10:39 AM

Hi can anyone provide an address for the parking? Want to make sure I make it to the right place. Thanks!

dpbyrnes Posted Mar 7, 2025 at 10:31 AM

I'm up for doing Kinsman on Sunday (unless I'm broken from tomorrow's hike). Bob will be driving up tonight. I am a tad concerned about the parking at 9am but I assume a bunch of us will carpool from Bob's. Don't know if you want to start a bit earlier fred (8:30?) and maybe too late to shift it. Totally your call and Bob probably most familiar with the parking situation

baezfred Posted Mar 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM

Hi Jason. I am SO HAPPY you're joining us. it's been a while. I'll talk to Mo about Kiinsman. What time were you thinking of?

Twigs Posted Mar 6, 2025 at 2:28 PM

Hey guys I'll be crashing at Bob's Friday and Saturday night. Potentially look at hiking the kinsman's on Sunday. If anyone is interested your welcome to join. I'll grab my extra butt sleds, just in case.

Bobcat Posted Mar 3, 2025 at 3:55 PM

Hikers are welcome to stay at my house near Franconia (15 minutes from trailhead) Friday and/or Saturday nights if desired. Please RSVP if interested. Email me for directions if needed.
