Summary

Celebrate Pride Month with a hike of the Uncanoonuc Mountains in Goffstown, NH!  Located just 20 minutes outside of the Queen City, these peaks offer peaceful views of Manchester, Mount Monadnock, and Mount Kearsarge.  This is considered a moderate hike, and we will hit both the North and South Uncanoonuc Mountains.  The parking lot is located at 300 Mountain Road, Goffstown, NH 03045.  We will summit South Uncanoonuc first (2.5 miles; 657’ elevation gain), then North Uncanoonuc after (2.1 miles; 738’ elevation gain).  In total, it should take 3-3.5 hours.  After, if there’s interest, we can grab lunch at Riverside Grille, which offers outdoor seating.

Below is the AllTrails map of our hike.  Please remember to bring extra water, proper footwear, a great attitude, and, of course, your Pride flags!  I hope you can join us.

Good morning! There is a chance of rain this morning (shocking, I know), but I do still plan on leading this hike. There's not a lot of elevation gain, it's largely flat terrain, and our loop brings us back to the parking lot midway through, so we have an easy bailout if we want. I would bring your raincoat if it's not already packed, and if you prefer to drop the hike I completely understand.

Hey everyone, the weather is holding steady for tomorrow’s hike. WMUR calls for showers, but not until well into the afternoon. It will be around 65 degrees and mostly cloudy. This is a relatively easy hike, but, as always, wear proper footwear and bring enough hydration. We should be done around 11-11:30am, and if there’s interest, we can grab lunch locally. Last, don’t forget your pride flags! See you in the morning. :)
