I decided to take my chances as the weather seemed to be clearing by late morning. On the way up to the Long Trail, I got caught in a heavy band of rain. This did not help the trail which had quite a few muddy spots. By the time I reached Burnt Rock Mountain, some sunshine had returned which led to taking a few pictures. As I ventured farther to Mount Ethan Allen, the rocks became increasingly slippery and dangerous. I headed back logging a total of 5.7 miles and 2,200 elevation gain. Until next hike.
