Summary

Nestled in the Green Mountains, this stunningly beautiful emerald lake is one of the best places to swim, kayak, canoe, hike, and just hang out eating and socializing with queer men from all over the region. If you don't have your own canoe, kayak, or paddle board, you can rent them for a reasonable charge. This lake is one of reasons people from all over the world adore southwest VT in the summer because you can have so much relaxed fun in so many easy ways.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • potluck picnic food & beverages to share with about 6 people
  • rain-gear,
  • swimming trunks if you want to swim & towel
  • appropriate footwear (that can get muddy),
  • snacks & water,
  • sunscreen

WEATHER: Please check the weather in East Dorset from your home before you leave for the event, so that you will be able bring the right clothes to deal with any last minute changes in the weather. Weather in Vermont can change quickly and it always good to be prepared for rain, wind, & unexpectedly cooler or hotter temps than were forecast the day before. We will only cancel the hike if there is a forecast of a thunderstorm, and we will text you should this happen the day of the hike.

REACHING US DAY OF HIKE: If you have trouble finding us, will be late, or can't make it, please call/text Mitch at 413-717-7816 or Bart at 503-734-6508
