This is a very easy slow-paced kayak or canoe trip up the James river.  It is a great little bit of the river that is easy to paddle and fun to explore the islands in the river.

Driving directions to the location and spot to meet at:

We'll be on the SOUTH side of the River!!!  Take Chippenham/Parham until you hit Huguenot (Rt 147) and then head North towards the river.  DO NOT CROSS bridge, but take ramp on right down to River Road and follow signs for Huguenot flatwater park (turn left at bottom of ramp).
