SUMMARY: This year, we’re taking on an incredible challenge—paddleboarding 28 miles in a single day on the Connecticut River! Last year, we conquered 21 miles from Woodsville to Bradford, Vermont, and now we’re pushing even farther. The Connecticut River winds through lush, fertile farmland.. As you paddle, you’ll be surrounded by rolling fields, quiet stretches of wilderness, and towering trees lining the banks. The water is smooth, the current steady, and the experience—unforgettable. Keep your eyes on the sky, and you are sure to spot bald eagles soaring high above or perched along the river’s edge, watching as we glide by. Our target date is Saturday, August 23, with Sunday, August 24, as a backup rain date. Camp out at Willoughby Rescue in Fairlee, Vermont, the night before our paddle. Then, after a full day on the water, we’ll regroup back at the Rescue for some awesome pizza from Colatina Exit and relax around a campfire. Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or looking to push your limits, this is your chance to experience the Connecticut River like never before. Are you ready? Grab your board, pack your camping gear, and join us for this one-of-a-kind adventure! |
