Planning a Trip to Raft the Gauley River in WV

If you have never experienced the Gauley River White Water Rafting for the FALL water Release, you are in for an awesome experience. The West VA park service releases the water this time of year to create some of the wildest river runs in the country. There are only 5 weekends that the river has this release. They start the weekend after Labor Day and go to 2nd weekend in October.
The slots book up very quickly, I've tenatevly set Sunday Morning trip (9/9/07). (the Friday and saturday trips are already booked).
A boat is 8 people. Before they will secure the boat they require deposits of $50 from each participant. It would be fun to fill up a boat with familar faces. I can't book a boat until i have it filled up so that's why i'm trying to get intersted people now

The cost for a Sunday trip is around $145 for the trip. That will include Lunch on the river.
the Trips typically start close to dawn.
If you want.. the tour group has sleeping/food packages..
there are accomidation packages with prices broken out per/person below.
