Summary

We will hike 6 miles at a moderate pace on the Kitching Creek Loop Trail (and maybe another 1.3 on the Kitching Creek Nature Trail).  It will have some gentle hills, and may have some wet or muddy sections depending on what the weather has been doing... but there is a bridge over the creek.  Read more about the trail at http://floridahikes.com/kitchingcreekloop .  We will meet at 10:00 am at the parking area by the river concession area and the trailhead - ask at the entry gate for a park map.  Jonathan Dickinson State Park's website is http://www.floridastateparks.org/jonathandickinson/  is located at 16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida 33455 (772) 546-2771  Directions and more information can be found on the state parks website.  Admission Fee: $6.00 per vehicle 2-8 people per vehicle. $4.00 Single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle.  You must have proper footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather forecast (it could be over 80 or in the 60s), sun protection, 1-2 liters of water, lunch or a heavy snack. Rain cancels, but we will go if there is a 30% chance.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park, 16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida 33455,  meet at 10:00 am at the parking area by the river concession area and the trailhead - ask at the entry gate.
