Summary

Are you an adrenaline junkie or want to conquer a fear of heights? Come join us for Ziplining while attending the GO Gathering. We can combine this event with all the other events planned for the weekend.

This should be a blast with a group. We'll be doing the SkyRider Zipline tour with Alpine Adventures in Lincoln, NH. We take an exciting 6x6 off road vehicle to the start of our tour. We'll begin our descent from 50' up in a pine tree inside “Treewalk Village”, with spectacular views of the western Whites. Ride the dual ziplines, racing with each other, to Area 51, Hemlock Walk and the Montego Bay Express. SkyRider includes 5 ziplines and 5 suspended bridges, ranging from 800' to 1600' long and 200' above the ground. We top off our adventure with "White Knuckle Pine," an 80' drop and zip speeds of up to 50 mph. This tour takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.

Our tour will be made up of only GO members and because of the size of our group we'll receive a 10% discount so the charge will be $80. Not a bad deal for an exciting time! *IMPORTANT ~ The maximum weight range for this course is 240 lbs. * For all other restrictions, click here. Click here for our trip report and pictures the last time we did this. For any questions such as what to wear, check out their FAQ. This outdoor adventure does not cancel for rain.   Once you sign up I'll contact you on how to send me a check. I'll take you off the list if I don't receive a check from you within 7 days of me contacting you.

Registration deadline has passed. We’ve released some of our reserved spots for the Zipline Tour so you can book a spot for yourself directly with Alpine Adventures. We are on the 11AM SkyRider Tour, group ID 30992...maybe they will apply the discount if you say you are with us. Here is a link to their website: http://www.alpinezipline.com/

I guessing I can pay on site wi crest card or check

Gandalf Posted Aug 12, 2014 at 6:30 PM

So far I’ve received payment from 5 guys, Markus sent me an email saying he is sending a check, and another member is 'sitting on the fence' due to possibly not getting the group rate. If we don’t receive the necessary ten for the group rate, then the cost differential will be another $9 that I will be owed when we meet. This event will occur no matter what size group we have.

I removed the requirement that a member has to participate in the GO Gathering to join us! We would like to get this tour filled up. Only one week left to send in a payment.

Hiking, backpacking, camping or vacation adventures, GayOutdoors [GO] has been the LGBTQ outdoorzy community leader for the last 22 years. We are an informal group of diverse hiking enthusiasts in the United States with a shared love of the mountains who prefer hiking with friends. We invite you to join us on our hikes, to post hikes for other members to join you and to share your hiking photos, stories and advice.
