Summary

Due to the weather these past few days this event is moving from Dixville Notch to Lancaster, NH.  Hiking conditions in the Notch are such that the dynamics & safety of that hike has change (especially on top of Table Rock - the eclipse viewing area).

Don't forget to bring your ISO certified eclipse eyewear.

NOTE – The NHDOT & local news are warning of travel delays - especially as you travel into the region of the eclipise.  We are hoping, by moving the hike to Lancaster, you will avoid the most significant of these delays.

SCHEDULE:

12:30 pm  Hike Mt Prospect (Weeks State Park).  Please be on time - factor in increased travel time.

We'll have a quick lunch at the top - so bring your lunch.

You will need boots & traction (microspikes).

Forecast: the low 50s & sunny.

2:30 pm - To view the eclipse in its totality we need to head to intown Lancaster - about 4 miles away from the park.  Totality is about 60 seconds duration on the north side of town.

NOTE:  There maybe limited parking in Lancaster so we may want to carpool into town - then carpool back to Weeks.

Hi, I am looking forward to being with you all to watch the eclipse. Please let me know if anyone can offer to help me driving up to the location. I couild meet you at a convinient location. Also, I was thinking about coming up on Sunday, so I do not have to drive so much the day of the eclipse. I would love to know if anyone might have a suggestion about a place where I might be able to stay on Sunday night? Thank you.

Hi all, anyone willing to carpool? I can drive to you, and from there ride up together? Let me know.
